Before I get into the main part of the dream you should know that I had a dream before this in the front of the house I'll get to describing. It is a quaint little white house with a dirt drive way opening to a dirt road, but with gravel which my drive way does not possess. Facing the house- the left side has a swing/slide set where I turned the swing into a sort of make-shift canvas. Jadey (you know who you are) was there helping me finish the last ones I wanted to paint before dying. I painted the lines of a young Japanese man in an anime style among various other details for the background using an eraser that had charcoal on the bottom of it. She painted it in for me. Elaborating on the lines and making the picture detailed but absolutely beautiful. The weird thing though is Jadey was not actually there. She was still at the place she lived but it's like a combination of the internet and being there in spirit where she could reach through a window hanging there in space to help finish a grand painting.
A young couple and their child (fluctuating between infant and kid) came over to my house as I'm a laser tag salesman. I was not expecting them however and my house was a mess. The floors were covered in clothes, and boxes of different games and toys. So it would appear a bunch of kids were haphazardly playing without supervision. The house is a old two-story house styled like those white houses falling apart near a farm. Think of the house the Ninja Turtles stayed in in that old movie. Only not in as open a space and more narrow/tall profile.
They didn't like the model I showed them because they felt its range was too weak. Apologizing for the mess and lead them into the hallway and out the door. They're going into their Dark green car as their kid complains. I know he's there but I never actually looked at him. But he's complaining in much the same manner and voice as Stewie Griffin. Finally I get to the car as the couple is leaving. The wife asks about why there is paintings all around my yard. It is small and the grass could use some cutting. Left of the car some bigger paintings I did lean against a fence not even visible under all the vines and plants. A rusted steel swing/slide set is also horizontally across from theses paints where I have my smaller paintings.
"I'm dying and hoping to see my work find owners before I go." I say calmly and perfectly fine with the fact my life will end soon. The wife takes compassion and sympathizes with me, offering to buy something. The husband says "Ok but only something we can use." like I hadn't mentioned the dying part at all and simply was considering because some of them were good.
"How about this one?" says the wife. I look the abstract painting I did. It is a large one almost square in shape and would cover a whole wall. The background color is a shade of black with lines and dots of varying color creating an illusion of demons crawling out of the darkness and painting itself. "That's a little depressing. What is the style you decorated your house?" i ask her pointing out two pictures and pulling one out from behind a stack. The first one is a rich red and brown branches on a parchment colored canvas design in the back. I forgot what the second picture was but he third was a slightly tall verticle painting with a light blue vase with lavender lilacs in it. It had a parchment background like the first.
Just as the wife begins talking again though I feel a jerk and realize I'm awake with Marcus (my brother) next to my bed. I try to go back to sleep where he reenters very grumpily like "are we going?" I never heard him speak earlier but obviously this means he missed his bus -__- He is NOT a morning person and I hate putting up with him in a moring. It's such a downer since I usually wake up in the mornings happy. =(
